After all, that's automatic and the info inputted is merely feedback for the game devs anyway. It's a valid reason as long as you're within the refund policy. And doing research is not enough, anyone can curate a review to make the game look better than it already is and reading the reviews is not very helpful when everyone has conflicting reviews such as one person saying the game is good and another one saying it's trash. It's not a physical product where once used, you can't re-sell it. Originally posted by :Wanting a refund because the game is rubbish is an entirely valid reason. Once you're outside the refund policy, it might be a valid reason from the POV of the one who requests it, but it doesn't mean it's a valid reason from the POV of the one who grants it (or doesn't grant it). Wanting a refund because the game is rubbish is an entirely valid reason. It is YOUR job to do research on the game BEFORE you buy it. Wanting a refund because you don't like a game is not a valid reason for a refund. The policy is for if the game doesn't run on your system. we'll see how that goes.) If they are good to their word, I will not be afraid in the future to gamble on a new game being "worth it". I am making this post to hopefully make others aware that that Steam does have a refund policy (I currently have a refund request pending. It made me wary and unwilling to try new games because paying $40, $50, or more just to try a new game only to meet with disappointment. It would be unreasonable to ask for a refund now, (more than 14 days has elapsed) since the policy is clearly stated and it's my own fault I didn't know about it. I wish I knew then I would have asked for a refund. I am aware NOW about their refund policy, and indeed 14 days is enough (Indeed, for a few, less than 10 minutes was enough) for me to know that this game was not for me. I have in the past spent money on things that I was disappointed with, and, well, sometimes that's just the way life is. In the past, I just chalked it up to experience - "Ya pays yer money and ya takes yer chances". I have now in my library 7 games I spent almost $350 to buy and will never play again.

I wish I knew about Steam's refund policy sooner.
